The month of October is special for our church.
It's when Maranatha first became a church. We call it the Feast of Dedication, reminiscent of the seven feasts God revealed to Israel upon leaving Egypt. These weren't feasts to satiate the body, but rather the soul. They involved some additional measure of sacrifice, offering, and self-denial. Yet when Israel obeyed, they were richly rewarded in peace, joy, fellowship, and the outpouring of favor from God. They received abundance for their livelihoods as well.
This month, seek the Lord for a spiritual breakthrough. At the end of this period of dedication, we will come together as a church and celebrate this Feast together as one Body.
"...[T]hrough whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.”
