Maranatha Christian Church is a small congregation located in the center of Falls Church City. We believe that the best way to know Jesus is by having personal experiences with Him through studying the Bible, meeting together as a church, and allowing the Holy Spirit to guide us.

Our Church emerged within the evangelical community as a result of an event foretold in the Bible for the present time as It is written in the book of the prophet Joel 2:28 - “And it shall come to pass afterward that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions”.

We believe that God speaks to His Church through the Spiritual gifts (1 Corinthians 12) and are fundamental ways He guides and corrects His Church. Thus, the Church is committed to proclaiming the Gospel with power and the Word with confirming signs, seeking the Holy Spirit’s baptism and spiritual gifts—testifying that Jesus is alive and announcing His return. There is an urgency to our message because we believe that Jesus is about to return to rapture his faithful and obedient church.

Maranatha, Falls Church, is affiliated with Maranatha Christian Church of America throughout North America and with Igreja Crista Maranata in Brazil, as well as Maranatha Christian churches worldwide.

The Maranatha Christian Church, as an institution, was established in January 1968, in the municipality of Vila Velha, State of Espirito Santo, Brazil. In the mid 1980 ‘s, members of the Maranatha Christian Church started gathering in the United States and Canada. The church was officially established in 1988, in North America.
